Fertilizers used for micro-irrigation fertilization must be completely soluble, contain no water-insoluble matter, and have little interaction with irrigation water.

They must not cause drastic changes in the pH value of the irrigation water and have little corrosiveness to the irrigation system.

In addition, when two or more fertilizers are applied together, attention should be paid to the compatibility between the fertilizers. Although the fertilizer tolerance of different crops, the fertilizer used and the characteristics of the irrigation system are different, in order to avoid excessive fertilizer concentration from damaging the crop roots, the fertilizer concentration in the irrigation water should not exceed 5%.
