The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan announced an allocation of 975.4 million soms (about $11.2 million) from the state budget to purchase 30,000 tons of mineral fertilizers abroad. Therefore, it intends to support farmers to prevent the sharp rise in the price of mineral fertilizers and their shortages.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan's agricultural demand for mineral fertilizers in 2022 will be 268,600 tons, including 146,900 tons of nitrogen fertilizers, 104,500 tons of phosphate fertilizers, and 17,200 tons of potash fertilizers.

Last year, the national agriculture required 266,700 tons of mineral fertilizers, and imported 139,100 tons. As a result, they are in short supply in the domestic market, causing their prices to rise.
